Free Ultrasounds in Napa
See Your Pregnancy Clearly with a Limited Ultrasound Scan.
A positive test is one piece of the picture. A limited ultrasound fills in the rest: how far along you are, whether the pregnancy is viable, and whether it’s where it should be. Napa Women’s Center offers limited ultrasounds free of charge, by appointment, once you have a positive pregnancy test. If you haven’t taken one yet, we’ll do that for free on the same visit.
What to Know About Napa Women's Center

Free & Confidential Services
The ultrasound is free, the follow-up is free, and nothing you share with us goes anywhere else. No insurance billed, no records sent to your primary care doctor unless you ask us to.

Trained Sonographers
Your ultrasound is performed by a trained medical professional using real ultrasound equipment, not a simulator or a volunteer with a manual. You’ll get accurate information you can bring to any doctor or clinic afterward.

Appointments for Ultrasounds
Ultrasounds are by appointment and require a confirmed positive pregnancy test first. Reach out to us using our contact form or call us at (707) 266-1741 to find an appointment time that works. If you still need to take a test, we’ll handle both in one visit.

No Pressure, Ever
Whatever you decide after your ultrasound is yours to decide. We don’t use the appointment to pressure you, and you’re free to take your information and walk out the door.
What to Expect During Your Visit
Visiting Napa Women’s Center is simple and supportive. The whole appointment usually takes about an hour.
1
Quick Check In
You’ll complete a short intake form and briefly meet with a client advocate to understand where you are in the process. If you haven’t confirmed your pregnancy with us yet, we’ll do a free pregnancy test first.
2
The Ultrasound Scan
A trained sonographer will perform a limited ultrasound in a private exam room. Most early ultrasounds are done abdominally, though in some early pregnancies a transvaginal scan gives a clearer picture. Your sonographer will explain what she’s doing as she goes.
3
Review Your Results
You’ll sit down with your client advocate to go over what the ultrasound showed: how far along you are, whether the pregnancy is viable, and whether it’s located in the uterus. You’ll leave with accurate information you can use however you need to.
Why get an ultrasound?
What a Limited Ultrasound Can Tell You
A limited ultrasound isn’t a full diagnostic scan and doesn’t replace prenatal care, but it answers three questions that matter for any decision you’re considering. It confirms how far along you are, which isn’t something a home test or a missed period can tell you accurately. It shows whether the pregnancy is viable, meaning whether there’s a heartbeat. And it confirms the pregnancy is in the uterus, ruling out an ectopic pregnancy, which can be a serious medical issue if missed. Whatever you’re thinking about doing next, having those three answers first means you’re making a decision based on your actual situation, not a guess.
