Free Pregnancy Support and Options
Napa Women Have Options. We'll Help You Understand Them.
Finding out you’re pregnant when you weren’t expecting to be is a lot to sit with, and the information out there can feel rushed, confusing, or slanted in one direction or another. Napa Women’s Center is a free, confidential place to talk it through. Parenting, adoption, abortion. We’ll give you accurate information on all three, answer the questions you came in with, and leave the decision where it belongs, with you.
What to Know About Napa Women's Center

Free and Confidential Services
Every service is free, and nothing you share goes outside the center. We don’t bill your insurance, we don’t send records to your primary care doctor, and we don’t add you to any mailing list you didn’t ask to be on. If there’s anyone you’re worried will find out about your appointment, they won’t hear it from us.

Accurate Information on Pregnancy Options
Parenting, adoption, and abortion. We’ll walk you through how each one works, what the risks and realities are, and what local resources exist. Napa Women’s Center doesn’t provide or refer for abortions, but we’ll give you honest information about the procedures so you can make a decision you feel good about later.

Trained Client Advocates
You’ll meet with a trained client advocate who’s been through this conversation many times. Not a doctor, not a counselor in the clinical sense. Someone who’ll sit with you, listen first, and answer your questions at your pace.

No Pressure, Ever
Whatever you decide is yours to decide. Our job is to give you the information and the space to think, not to steer you toward a particular outcome. Take what’s helpful, leave the rest, and come back if and when you want to.
What to Expect During Your Visit
Visiting Napa Women’s Center is simple and supportive. The whole appointment usually takes about an hour.
1
Quick Check In
You’ll fill out a short intake form and briefly meet with your client advocate so she understands where you are. If you haven’t confirmed your pregnancy yet, we can do a free lab-quality pregnancy test on the same visit.
2
A Real Conversation
You and your advocate will sit down privately and talk through what’s going on, what you already know, and what questions you have. She’ll walk you through your three options honestly, including what each one looks like practically, emotionally, and medically.
3
Leave With a Plan
You’ll leave with accurate information, any relevant referrals (for prenatal care, adoption agencies, community resources, or anything else you need), and a next step that fits where you are. No commitment, no follow-up calls you didn’t ask for.
Your Pregnancy Options Explained
When facing an unplanned pregnancy, there are three primary options available to you. Knowing what each option involves is the starting point for making an informed decision for you and your future.
At Napa Women’s Center, we walk you through your options, share the risks and benefits of each one with you, and answer any questions you may have. We never push you to pick a specific option or judge you for the path you choose.

Abortion
If you’re considering abortion, having accurate information about the procedures, the risks, and where you are in your pregnancy matters. A limited ultrasound (which we offer free) confirms how far along you are and whether the pregnancy is viable, both of which affect which procedures are even an option. Napa Women’s Center doesn’t provide or refer for abortion, but we’ll give you honest, factual information so you’re making the decision with real information instead of guesses.
Parenting
Choosing to parent is the option many women in your situation end up making, and it’s more doable than it seems at first. We offer material assistance (diapers, bottles, baby supplies), parenting classes through our Earn While You Learn program, and referrals to local resources for housing, medical care, and financial help. Whether you have a supportive partner and family or you’re largely on your own, there are real pathways here.
Adoption
Adoption has changed a lot in the last couple of decades. Modern adoption can be open, semi-open, or closed depending on what you want, and birth mothers have significant say in the family their child is placed with. We don’t run an adoption agency, but we can refer you to licensed agencies and attorneys in the area and walk you through what the process looks like if you want to learn more.
